Part 1 of 2

child-meditationDo you understand the value of meditation or meditate regularly and wish to share this with your children? Do you want to teach your children meditation skills you wished you had learned? Do you want to incorporate meditation into your life but feel your children are a hindrance? Do you want to improve your health and the health of your child? If you answered yes to one or more of the above questions, then meditating with your child is the answer.  Learning how to meditate is a lifelong skill and is wonderful to teach your children the value of this time-honored skill.

There is no better time then now to start. Make a commitment to do this on a regular basis. You decide what is best for you.  I recommend a daily practice of meditation, however, you can practice with your child as often as you like.  For instance, if you meditate by yourself daily, then think about taking one day of the week and meditating with your child.  Your daily meditation practice can also be with your child. If you have more than one child, you can alternate days of meditation. The possibilities are infinite.

Use an incentive, explain the benefits, explain your desires, make it a game or use any method of your choosing to get your child interested in learning meditation.  For instance, if you use the  guided meditation mp3, you can explain how fun it will be to close your eyes and make-believe with visualization.  In the guided meditation, which is less than 15-minutes, you will be visualizing a healing white light coming into your body.  This healing white light will be healing to your mind, body and spirit.

Meditation has many benefits, one of which is improved health. It will also develop focus, which is very beneficial for growing minds.  To understand how meditation heals and to learn a meditation practice for yourself, please sign up for the online meditation and self-healing course.  It is free for a limited time. You will also learn about the art of meditation, meditation techniques, controlling your thoughts and other topics on meditation.

As you can see, meditation will be a great asset for your family.  Take a week and think about how you will plan meditation into your family routine.  Then next week we will discuss the steps to meditating with kids of all ages.
