"We cannot see our reflection in running water. It is only in still water that we can see." - Taoist Proverb
Watch this video clip from the Kung Fu Panda movie. In it Master Oogway teaches his student a valuable lesson.
Does the movie clip ring a bell in your life? Does this happen to you on a regular basis? Are you prone to allow your thoughts to run away from you and control your emotions? Remember that your emotions affect your health. If your thoughts cause you to feel bad then your health is affected negatively. The same is true for the opposite feelings. When you feel good, you are affecting your health in a positive manner.
Knowing this are you ready to take control of your mind and start spending more time feeling good? You can do it when you learn to control your mind. All suffering comes from your mind. It is the thought about a situation as opposed to the situation that causes the suffering. Learn to meditate and control your thoughts. Develop a routine/meditation practice in which to quiet your mind or still the water in order that you can let go and allow peace and good feeling thoughts to “take a hold of you”. When you let go and open up, you allow higher source energy to come in and bring healing to you on all levels. Opening up is a process of letting go or surrendering. It is a profound process and one that you are sure to enjoy, once you set on that path.
