husband-gratitude-listWhen is the last time you said thank you to your loved one? Do you do this on a regular basis? When you talk to your friends about your loved one(s), do you talk about the aspects for which you are grateful? Do you find that you spend most of your time pointing out the faults of your life or the faults of others?

The next time you feel an urge to focus on the aspects you do not like about your loved one, step back, take out a pen and paper and start writing down all the things for which you are grateful.  Do this every time you have the urge to do what you have trained yourself to do, which is focus on the bad aspects.  Train yourself to focus on the aspects that you like. The more you take the time to do this, the more you will start seeing and experiencing aspects for which to be grateful.

Your life is a reflection of your focus, why not focus on the positive so that you can bring more of this into your life! This will most definitely strengthen your relationship with your loved one.  Make a commitment to do it for at least a month.  You will be pleasantly surprised.
