Meditation Sitting Pose
- Sit comfortably in a chair with your back erect, yet relaxed. The chair should be at a height so that your thighs and legs form an approximate 90-degree angle. You may need to place a pillow or book under your feet in order to accomplish this. As you can see from the picture, there is a pillow placed underneath the buttocks. This helps in keeping the pelvic tilted slightly forward, which relaxes and aligns the back. This is an essential step. Another way to describe the tilting of the pelvis forward is to ensure that your buttocks are slightly higher than your knees when sitting.
- A wooden or a sturdy chair is preferable to a cushioned chair.
- Place your hands on your upper thighs with your palms facing upward.
- Relax, smile and have fun.

Note: Position your buttocks a slightly higher than your knees.
