deep-breathing-techniqueDeep breathing can be considered a relaxation breathing technique. It will relax you, improve mental focus and open you to healing. In addition to these assets, there are also other benefits of deep breathing such as awakening the body by sending life-giving oxygen and nutrients to more cells. These cells may not get an optimal level of life-giving resources due to shallow breathing. It helps to keep the cells balanced by removing unusable material from the body.  This keeps your cells healthy and functioning optimally.

Anytime during the day, when you feel a need for a break, take two-minutes and do this quick exercise. When doing the deep breathing exercise, breath from your abdomen.  When you inhale, expand your lower abdomen. When you exhale, allow your abdomen to recoil on its own. It may help to place your hands on your abdomen as a reminder to breath from this area.

There are two options for this deep breathing meditation:

  1. Sit in a comfortable position and watch the video as you do the breathing exercise.
  2. Sit or lie in a comfortable position and listen to the audio as you do the breathing exercise.  Click here to download the free mp3.
