Grand Canyon - A Sacred Natural Wonder
The Grand Canyon is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. It is a very sacred location with profound views and powerful energy. For many indigenous tribes, the Grand Canyon is very heartfelt and significant to them and is integral to who they are as a people.
While millions of people visit the Grand Canyon every year for it's natural beauty, a smaller number are drawn to it for spiritual guidance, healing and transformation.
Powerful Energy
The energy of the Grand Canyon is something that must be felt and experienced. This energy will help to quiet your mind, deepen your Divine connection, help you to heal, bring more stillness to your heart, and open you in ways that words cannot describe. Trust in this process and come and join us.
Nature is quiet. Nature is still. Nature is divine. When you are in nature, you can feel the stillness and more easily feel the Divine presence as well as more clearly hear the Divine messages.
What we Do
Outside in Nature - Part 1
Each day you will spend up to 3 hours outside in the Grand Canyon doing spiritual work with your host, Shawngela. You will be guided by IAM, Shawngela's spiritual team, on what tools are needed and where you will go.
There are several trails in the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, as well as other sacred sites in the area. This retreat is NOT focused on hiking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. This retreat is focused on inner work. As guided, we will show you how to work with the different energies of the Grand Canyon without the need to go all the way to the bottom.
Personal Reflection Time - Part 2
The healing continues after our session because you will be directed to deepen your connection with the Divine on your own. This could mean being directed to go to another trail for quiet reflection, journaling, and meditating for further Divine messages. It could mean being guided to listen to one of our spiritual audios to learn how to heal and then journal for clarity. The next day you will review your divine messages with Shawngela and deepen into your healing.
Our Spiritual retreats are designed to teach you how to personally connect to the divine for healing. As such, it is essential for you to have quiet time to learn this critical step.
Sample Itinerary
An Intuitive Experience
Our Spiritual Retreat is truly an intuitive experience. The retreat is designed to help you connect more deeply to the Divine. As such, part of your day will be spent with Shawngela and IAM and the other part will be spent in personal reflection time. This allows you to practice/learn how to communicate with the Divine directly on your own.
Day 1
Setting the Stage
4 pm Check-in followed by our Welcome Ceremony.
In our welcome ceremony, we will set the stage for this transformative retreat. During the ceremony, you will start the process of attuning your energy to your Divine team as well as receive guidance to practice connecting with them. You will practice this on your own after the ceremony.
Day 2
Moving Energy
We will visit our first site to continue moving energy and helping you to heal.
- 8 am Drive to Grand Canyon - South rim
- 8: 30 am to 12 pm
- Discuss insights you received from yesterday’s welcome ceremony activity
- Do some spiritual work based on Divine insight received. For instance, learning a meditation and doing some sound healing.
- Rest of the Day - Personal Reflection Time
- After your session, you will have personal reflection time. For instance, you receive guidance to go a little further down into the Grand Canyon to practice your meditation, and journal for answers.
Day 3 - 4
Raising your Vibration
Each day builds upon the next with the same format. Every day your capacity to hold more light, heal, feel more confident, and understand your Divine team increases as you release energy blockages.

Putting it all Together

- Our closing session will give you the tools to take home everything you have learned and continue your spiritual journey. We summarize all of your Divine guidance into a plan of action for you.

Sound Healing
Sedona Add On
If you feel called to also visit a Sedona Vortex, we offer a day trip add on. Please note that not everyone will feel called to do both. They are both powerful and sacred sites. You may only be called to work with one energy for your trip.
Sedona is best known for its many powerful energy vortexes. A Sedona vortex is believed to be a place of high spiraling spiritual energy where the conditions are perfect for facilitating healing, spiritual awakening, meditation and prayer. They are also believed to be places where energy flows on multiple dimensions.
The Grand Canyon also has strong energy centers, although not coined "vortexes". Trust where you are being guided.
Saturday Day Trip
Sedona is about 2 hours south from our spiritual sanctuary. We would leave around 6 am in the morning and return to the sanctuary around 6 pm.
The format would be the same. You will work with your host, Shawngela, for the first few hours at a vortex. Then you will get to spend time at another vortex for your Personal Reflection Time.
There is an additional fee of $600.
Note: This is not a sightseeing add on. This is to continue the spiritual work in Sedona as opposed to the Grand Canyon on Saturday. If you would like a sightseeing tour of Sedona, it would be best to do it before or after your Grand Canyon Retreat.
Meet your Host - Shawngela
Shawngela Pierce is a spiritual healer, podcaster, and author from Sedona with over 13 years of yoga, meditation, and energy healing experience. Shawngela helps seekers heal by learning to embrace their spiritual power and connect to the divine. In her mentoring, she works intimately with her spiritual guides, whom she affectionately calls IAM.

Where you will Stay
You will be camping with your host in nature in our rustic tiny house (6 feet wide by 15 feet long). You will experience the profound healing offered by staying in a more remote location at a campsite 30 minutes from the Grand Canyon - South Rim. Nature is still. Nature is quiet. Nature offers profound insights if you know how to listen.

Cooking at the Campsite
The Tiny house has many amenities for you to cook your food during the retreat. We currently do not provide food at our retreats. In our experience, this gives guests the most flexibility in choosing foods for their spiritual growth. For instance, you may be called to eat vegan/vegetarian, drink juices, or do intermittent fasting during your retreat.
The nearest grocery story is about an hour away so it's best to shop beforehand.

Airport and Transportation
The closest airport is in Flagstaff (FLG), which is one hour to our location. American Airlines operates most of the flights. It is a much smaller airport than Phoenix.
The Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). is about 3 hours to our location.
Arrival Time
Give yourself enough time so that you can shop for groceries and make it to our location between 4 pm and 6 pm. Check in, which is followed by the Welcome Ceremony is normally at 4 pm but we can accommodate up to 6 pm.
Renting a Car
If flying into Arizona (either PHX or FLG), it is best to rent a vehicle to get to our location. It gives you the most flexibility and will most likely be your cheapest option.
Taking a Shuttle from PHX to FLG
You can take a shuttle, Groome Transportation, from PHX airport to the Flagstaff airport. We would then pick you up, take you grocery shopping, and then to our location. During the retreat, you would ride with your host to and from locations. There is a $250 additional fee for this option.

We can pick you up from the Flagstaff airport. We would take you grocery shopping before heading to our location. During the retreat, you would ride with your host to and from locations. There is a $250 additional fee for this option.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
We will not hike all the way down to the bottom during our retreat. This retreat is focused on the inner journey and does not require you to hike to the bottom. As guided, we will show you how to work with the different energies of the Grand Canyon without having to physically be there.
Every day, we will hike to a location. The distance that we hike down will be divinely guided. During your daily Personal Reflection time, you may be guided to travel further down on your hike.

A 16% deposit is due to reserve your spot. You will be invoiced for the remaining balance, which is due 3 weeks before the start of your retreat. If you book within 3 weeks, your remaining balance will be invoiced immediately.

Cancellation Policy
All retreat deposits are non-refundable.
If your retreat is paid in full, 16% of the balance (deposit fee) is non-refundable.
Remaining Balance
The remaining balance is the amount paid minus the 16% deposit.
A full refund of the remaining balance is available up to 30 days before your retreat start date.
If you cancel 0-29 days before your retreat start date, the remaining balance is not refundable, however, you have a couple of options.
You can reschedule for another date. You are only allowed to reschedule once, after that your remaining balance is forfeited and not refundable. There is a $300 administration fee to reschedule your retreat. The fee is due 3 weeks before the start of your new dates.
You can use your remaining balance towards other services or products offered at Seek Within You - private coaching, a different retreat, our Spiritual Power Program, Spiritual Workshops, and/or our online store.
