# Qigong (Chinese Yoga) & Meditation Class

### Starts January 6, 2014 (7 week session)

 **Location:** St. Clair Shores YMCA\*, 23401 Jefferson Ave St Clair Shores, MI 48080 (586) 778-5811

- Mondays: 6 - 7pm
- Tuesdays: 11am - 12pm
- Wednesdays: 6 - 7pm

Qigong (pronounced chee gung) is an ancient Chinese health system of healing and energy medicine. Qigong is a system practiced for health maintenance, healing and increasing vitality. It is the art and science of using breathing techniques, gentle movement, and meditation to cleanse, strengthen, and circulate qi (energy). Regular Qigong practice leads to better health, vitality and a quiet mind. During the hour long qigong session, we will start with gentle flowing movements (moving meditation) and then end in a quiet sitting meditation.
