#  Meditation - An Alternative Treatment for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)

## An Energetic Perspective

![Vibrational Scale of Health](http://online-meditation.seekwithinyou.com/images/vibrational-scale-health-400-400.jpg)We are all energetic beings (E=mc2) and we all vibrate at a certain frequency. The healthier we are, the higher we vibrate, physically, emotionally &amp; spiritually.

Our natural state of being is that of health and anything other than health is a result of a blockage of the natural flow of high vibrating energy (see picture). Let's say for arguments sake that our natural state of health is at a scale of 100. As you can see from the picture, a blockage of the naturally flowing high vibrating state produces a vibrational scale less than 100. Anything about 50, is still healthy, however, the vibration is still not as high as 100. The fact that you are still healthy at 50 is due to the fact that when you cross the border of 50, you are feeling good. When you are in a non-good feeling state, then you are in a state of less than optimal health. If you vibrate at this frequency (non-good feeling state) for a long enough time, you will begin to develop a dis-ease process in the body. In order to bring about healing, you must raise your vibration.

Case in point, let's look at *Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)*. With CFS, your energy level is low and you are consistently vibrating at a frequency that is less than optimal. This is why you are in a constant non-good feeling state. In order to improve your health, you must learn to raise your vibration to that of feeling good. When you train yourself into this vibration, you start to improve your health. Now you ask yourself, how do you train yourself into this vibration?

There are two basic steps to training yourself into a state of higher vibration. One you do during meditation and one you practice outside of meditation:

1. Learn to be [mindful ](https://www.seekwithinyou.com/blog-2/98-healing/167-mindfulness-definition "Mindfulness Definition")of your thoughts because your [thoughts affect your health](https://www.seekwithinyou.com/blog-2/98-healing/97-how-your-emotions-affect-your-health-train-your-mind-to-focus "How thoughts affect your health"). You will learn to be mindful of your thoughts by practicing meditation.
2. You must practice the art of monitoring how you feel. This you do outside of meditation. When you are in a non-good feeling state, you are at a low vibration. When you notice how you feel, you make the conscious effort to start feeling better. You practice this over and over again until it becomes [habit](https://www.seekwithinyou.com/blog-2/98-healing/121-habits-build-brain-neurons "Habit builds brain neurons"). The easiest way to be consistent is to write down ways in which you plan to practice to raise your vibration. For instance, when I feel this way I will raise my vibration by smiling, laughing, watching nature, listening to music that feels good....etc. In this way, you get into the habit and it becomes easier to raise your vibration. You make the commitment "I will feel good. I will direct my attention to feeling good. Feeling good and being healthy is the most important thing to me."

Eventually the two practices shall meet and you will have successfully trained yourself in to a higher vibrating healthier state.

**Review**: (1)Train yourself to be mindful and to let go of your thoughts during meditation and (2) Train yourself to switch to feeling good by directing your attention to something that feels good when you find yourself in a non-good feeling state.

These two simple, yet powerful steps, are the way to healing. You must let go and allow higher vibrating energy to enter and heal the body.

  When I speak in terms of resistance, I am speaking from an energetic perspective. Because you have a lowered resistance (energetically) , physiological and mental changes can occur in the body.

  Actually it goes way beyond just lowering resistance. It actually causes a physiological change as well and mental changes.

Here is what the study said,......"The purposes of this project were to determine mental training-induced strength gains (without performing physical exercises) in the little finger abductor as well as in the elbow flexor muscles, which are frequently used during daily living, and to quantify cortical signals that mediate maximal voluntary contractions (MVCs) of the two muscle groups."

Note it said without physical exercise. This has incredible implications for CFS as well as for Fibromyalgia.

  Yes, when you visualize yourself being active, you lower your resistance to it, which is in essence the equivalent of raising your vibration. ---

  Very interesting. I have proposed something related for those I treat. Imagining you are exercising can actually improve muscle strength. Studies show increase in strength simply by imagining (read meditating) exercising.

One thing I add to get the best benefit of the mental work out is improving the fluid and electrolyte balance with unprocessed sea salt, dissolved in the mouth. Then drinking a glass of water. This needs to be done 30 to 45 min before doing the meditation so it can get into the gut and into our blood.

When it comes to vibration, the Himalayan pink salt vibrates at the same frequency as the human body. I prefer the Celtic salt myself but some say the pink works best for them. ---
