Regardless of the form of healing you choose, either traditional or non-traditional, all healing is self-healing. This is true in any circumstance.
Let’s look at two views of healing from an energetic perspective. Let’s say you are under a doctor’s care and the doctor has prescribed some medicine for you. You then take this medicine to relieve your symptoms. In some way, shape or form, you feel good about the medication and/or your doctor’s advice. As a result of feeling good, you have let go of some resistance and allowed some healing to occur. The extent to which you are relieved of the symptoms will be proportional to your allowance. (Remember that these symptoms are a result of a contracted state of being. In order for any type of healing to occur you must let go of at least some of the resistance.)
Now let’s say you have gone the traditional route and have not received the results you desired. In some way, shape or form you are feeling bad about the experience. You then decide to go an alternative route because this makes you feel better. You feel better because doing it in a natural way is more in line with your beliefs and therefore you are open to what it has to offer. You go to your alternative physician, such as a naturopathic physician or acupuncturist, and they give you a treatment plan. Because you feel good about this direction, you are more open and healing can occur for you.
The above examples demonstrate why studies have shown that those who do forms of meditation such as Tai Chi or Yoga during treatment, do far better than those who do not. It is a result of their letting go of resistance and allowing the healing powers of source to enter.
In conclusion, use the practices presented in this book with whatever form of treatment you choose. It matters not. The power to heal lies within you.
